Starting Point VPN issue: OpenSSL error - no start line

Hi there,

I’m trying to connect to Starting Point (EU) with OpenVPN (Ubuntu>console) but when using your provided config file I’m getting an “OpenSSL: error:0909006C:PEM routines:get_name:no start line” - could you let me know what I should do please?

jacksorjacksor@jacksorjacksor:~$ sudo openvpn jacksor.ovpn

TY!

This is sorted now - I swapped server to US, then the .ovpn file that was download worked fine. I then swapped back to EU and the .ovpn file that was generated worked perfectly!

That’s a common issue if I remember correctly. There’s been a number of times when the OpenVPN file I download ends up empty or erroneous so I simply switch servers and download new file again.

download the openvpn file for the other port
