VPN masks your identity in the internet to an extent. If the anti-terrorism bill gets passed, it would be best to at least try and mask yourself. There are a ton of VPN providers out there with free limited bandiwidth.
If you can afford it, pay for a good service. DO NOT USE the free services out there. You end up becoming the product because odds are they sell your data.
Windscribe has an excellent free and secure plan.
Ok ba kung TOR browser gagamitin?
Protonvpn is free with no logging policy, check r/privacy
also check privacytools.io for more info
Don’t bother with those free VPN, you are their product along witn your data.
Just use TOR instead.
Which provider/s would you guys recommend?
Opera browser has a free vpn. Pero based on my research the cheapest vpn na makikita is yung Surfshark - 100 php a month. Maganda din naman ung Cyberghost nagamit ko na free trial nila saka ung Nordvpn at Expressvpn
While using a VPN is a good start, it’s useless without taking other precautions.
As an example, I tried to see if I can identify you OP and it took less than 10 minutes to get to your Facebook profile. I know you might not really trying to hide your identity (I’m sure you can do the same with me, you can identify me in less than 5) but I’m just making a point that VPN is not enough.
TOR is good and when it is used in conjunction with a VPN it is better. Keep in mind that you should not maximize your TOR browser as it gives away some information that can be traced back to you.
Also keep in mind that just because you are using TOR and/or VPN that you are fully hidden - YOU ARE WRONG - you can still be tracked and found, albeit, will take a while.
Be smart and don’t show personal or identifiable information online - TOR is not completely fool proof.
Get a paid VPN instead. With free VPNs you can’t know for sure of they collect your data. If it’s free, then you aren’t the customer, you’re the product.
You can also get prepaid SIMs or internet plans, ones you can buy at the sari sari store for cheap. Maybe get a new one every so often. Hoard a lot of them, if possible.
even speedtest has free vpn, orbot is also free but doesnt always work
I have no money for that. Is the free VPN for Opera enough? What about extensions? I use Hola on Brave when downloading stuff from Nitroflare.
I get your point. Sadly many vpn companies are tied up with Tesonet. I understand your concern. There is a youtuber called Tom Spark. He makes really good unbiased reviews. One of his key points is company honesty.
No fuck off. VPN will only get you far enough. This isn’t Uncle’s Sam playground. So fuck off trying to act like a cool with you hoola get a VPN. It’s the lousiest privacy program in the infosec/cybersec.
Again reddit will always be private and secure(unless you fvck over Uncle Sam seriously). Again you will only get profiled if you are shit enough in the virtual space.
I use tunnelbear free for 500mb/mo, mainly for work - didn’t think I would have to use it to protect myself from the gov. Do you think this one is secure, or would it be best to get a paid one?
If you’re willing to pay, they also have dedicated servers for Netflix so that Netflix doesn’t block the IP address when they detect you’re on VPN. Highly recommended.
I have this! Can anyone run a background check on this? Still kinda uneasy using a free vpn. I’d probably buy in the near future though (can anyone suggest a good vpn with subscription?)
Avast secureline only charge 50 php per month. Sablay lng sya as an android tv app.
Opera VPN works on Netflix, desktop nga lang.
