Anyone else having issues with Singapore servers? The launcher would show low ping but in-game it’s hella high 190-200
I’m in Australia and Singapore is like my home server now. Drastically less scripts and better pvp overall. Getting around 120ms. I had Singapore show last wipe to be around 200ms but recently got starlink so maybe that’s the fix?
Been that way for about 2 wipes now. Friend lives in Singapore but has issues with high ping despite living here and playing on Singapore servers. He has to use a vpn just to connect to Singapore servers.
Are you on Singtel? I have a friend who can’t play because he’s on Singtel, while I have no issues with Starhub.
It’s probably a routing issue (i.e the routing tables that tell your PC which intermediate servers to connect to to reach the Tarkov server isn’t optimized) and if you do a traceroute on the server (you can find the IP in the Tarkov log files) you’ll probably see that you’re connecting to the Singapore server through multiple servers overseas.
It might be possible for BSG to get their data center to fix this but you probably have better luck giving the Tarkov IP addresses you know for sure you have problems with, giving them to Singtel, and asking them to fix the routing to those ranges.
Also when I play with my friend we hit up China servers now. The previous wipe I was getting 120-150 on them but this wipe it’s dropped to ~50 for some reason. At least last wipe, there seemed to be a lot less chads and suss deaths there vs SG (and JP/KR)
