[Question] Is there a tweak that can actively route a specific app(s) through a VPN without also routing all device traffic through it?

I’m curious if this is even possible, hardware-wise. To clarify: I’m not talking about a tweak that enables a device-wide VPN connection whenever you open a specified app….I’m talking about essentially being connected to networks at once.

Sounds like something that would probably not work with the WiFi hardware, but I was just curious

This is called split-tunneling, I think it would also depend on the VPN provider so I don’t think it would be possible on iOS without native support from Apple + vpn app devs

We use forticlient, I don’t think it gives any control over which apps go where, but I don’t have problems with split-tunneling and I can access any local lan resource as well as my vpn resources without issues

Anyways, as others mentioned, you’re looking for split-tunneling support in your vpn

Network tools on the App Store rather than tweaks, do the job. Search Surge

I bet it would be possible. Android has been able to do this for a while now.

It’s called Split Tunneling, I use PureVPN and they offer this

Awesome! I appreciate all of the responses, and thanks to you and u/hppiasianninja for teaching me a new networking term :slightly_smiling_face:

No Split Tunneling on IOS in Pure VPN, don’t misadvertise it.
