I’m from Pakistan and facing this issue. I’ve been using Spotify since 2016/2017, way before it officially launched in my country. Since day 1 my account has been set to USA location because as I mentioned initially Spotify wasn’t available in my country. I am now facing the same issue as everyone where I can’t play any songs or the songs are just not showing under any album or playlist; that basically just depends on the difference APKs I’ve tried. Some show the songs but don’t play them and some just straight up don’t show the songs.
I’ve noticed people here are saying it works for them when they connect to VPN from the location their account is set to on Spotify site. But for me it’s that it just has to VPN no specific country required. My account is set to USA but even if I connect to a Singapore server, it still works.
However, it is a real pain in the ass to connect to the VPN ever single time and stay connected while using Spotify. It eats up the data and often decreases the internet speed too. Please if any has found a solution hit me up.
It’s been happening to everyone in Greece/Portugal. You could do the vpn trick change locations uninstall it every two weeks and it would work now you need to have the vpn turned on at all times if you want it to work which isn’t ideal either if you also need to install spotify in another device. idk how this could get fixed unless someone again figures out another trick around it
Even the vpn trick stoped working after 4th week, it figured that any location other than Greece or Portugal wasn’t legit and forced me to choose the original one , even with vpn
same stuff. from pk. issue occurred yesterday and continuing to persist. currently using vpn to tackle it. not sure when it’ll be fixed. btw my acc is Canadian instead of US.
Fellow Pakistani here, facing the same issue. Changing region recently fixed it for me but that stopped working too as of yesterday. Will let you know if I find a fix.
Go to Spotify.com go to your profile settings and change the country set it back to Pakistan since it’s available now (as u are sayin’) and the songs will be available again
Bro I’m also from Pakistan and I’m facing the same problem. My account works fine with the original downloaded Spotify from the google play store but I don’t use this one because it has limited skip and paid. But when I download APK mode from chrome, it doesn’t work. My playlist suddenly disappears and I can’t play any single song in modded Spotify. I don’t know why? I tried different accounts but it didn’t work. I am facing this issue for months?
Unfortunately, this doesn’t work anymore. Meaning that the system instantly detects you the moment you turn off the VPN. It works fine with VPN on, however I do not like it very much as a solution cuz it makes my browsing slower.
