Protonvpn blocked in school

Protonvpn is blocked at my school, I have tried TCP UDP and smart protocol, with alternative routing turned on. It only doesn’t work on my windows PC.

You could setup the VPN on your phone and turn on a proxy server then put that info into your pc and proxy all your internet traffic to your phone trough the VPN. I use Every Proxy on my Android device to set this up.

Could you confirm if you are able to connect to ProtonVPN via other devices (i.e. your mobile phone)? If so, could you try to set up a manual IKEv2 connection on your Windows PC to see if that works? https://protonvpn.com/support/windows-10-ikev2-vpn-setup/ If the issue persists, please contact our support team with your connection logs. That way, they’ll be able to check if indeed all UDP/TCP connection attempts/ports are blocke, and help you troubleshoot: https://protonvpn.com/support-form

If you are in Uni, make sure to check their internet usage policy, they might not be very willing to let you use a VPN (possibly even expulsion).

IF they are not against a VPN, then hotspot relay is your best bet. As for a lower level school, I might want to ask Why??? you are only there for part of your day, probably just deal with it for a bit.

I’ll try to see if it works

Yeah, I was gonna say run a proxy/vpn/relay from your phone and use as hotspot is also an option.

The school blocks sites I need to do school work

Udp or tcp are the ProtonVPN protocols…

Can you get into contact with the IT folks. If not, talk to the teacher about it.

IT folks at schools… I can’t stop laughing, when i think of my schools xD

My uni had an incredibly engaged IT and infosec team. it’s a long shot, but it’s an important first step.
