Proton VPN now covers 100 countries with 6000+ servers!

Hi everyone,

With the addition of servers in four new countries, Proton VPN is now present in more than half of the world’s countries.

As of today, you can connect to the internet from IP addresses in:
:angola: Angola
:kazakhstan: Kazakhstan
:kenya: Kenya
:montenegro: Montenegro

100 countries with Proton VPN

Which new countries should we add? Let us know in the comments!

I think the only country still missing for me now is Saudi Arabia.

Despite elections, still no Scotland-based servers.

Often it takes 20 captchas to get to google search in California. Can you make special servers, presumably with less privacy to exclude spammers, that wouldn’t have this problem? I would use them. The captchas are truly exhausting, and I’d rather have clean servers in California, than new servers in Angola.

I was recently in China and I noticed something weird. My paid ProtonVPN was unable to connect to any VPN. But my wife’s free one managed to connect to a server in Japan. I tried connecting to all servers in Japan but it still didn’t work on my account.

I logged into her free account and it instantly connected to a server in Japan. So my question is, why is my paid account inferior compared to my wife’s free account?

Any chance Canadians can get a free server for free customer accounts? Seems odd I have to use US?

Iraq, Iran and Lebanon

Will there come a update from proton vpn app for macOS sonoma, because it does not reconnect after my mac wakes up from sleep. I have to manually connect each time ? I remember I did not have that issue on macOS ventura ?I already reported this long time ago ?

Is there any possibility of getting Iran servers?

Please add support of smart dns server

Thailand is not a working vpn country. For users’ awareness, Proton VPN Servers in Thailand are still not working (ie redirecting to other countries with the user being unaware) this is not reported as current on the status page.

People should be aware that this issue continues and has been an issue that has been going on over a month. When connected to Proton VPN Servers in Thailand they redirect to different countries ie Bulgaria without any visibility.

This is a major pain/risk for anyone living in Thailand like myself. Proton users take note and Proton please escalate and update your services page.

Hi

I noticed many US servers has become insane slow, I have a 125 mega bit connection and connected to floridas server and I tested the speed at 4.5 mega bit then I tested Denmarks server it showed me 118 mega bit. But If I use random us servers they are pretty slow, it has been like that the last week.

Isn’t it true that all those vpn services are being blocked easily by countries? Why people prefer to use such a service and not just set up a vpn server on a vps with dedicated ip? You will never have any restrictions with that. I never understood the idea of using a vpn service that you share with thousands of other people, and everything gets logged there anyway (so even for illegal activity it’s not useful).

Hi I noticed that I can not download podcast episodes on apple podcast while I use proton vpn ? anyone else having same issues or experienced something like this ?

I would really like an option to just connect to an area instead of a specific server. Such as just connecting to New York and have it auto connect to any available server in that area, instead of having to favorite or connect to a specific server

Could you add Brunei server?

Wow Thanks Proton Team. Press P for respect

How is the IPv6 development going?
Are you still planning a release this summer?

Will all servers be included from the beginning or only certain countries and certain servers?
