Been considering trying Project Fika with my friend, but from a security perspective I’m unsure which would be better? I don’t really know anything about opening ports so I’m unsure what exactly I’m opening my network out to.
So Radmin might be the better choice, but at the same time I’m not entirely sure how widely used or reputable it is? So which one should I do if I choose to play Project Fika.
Also to make sure Project Fika is 100% safe correct? Wasn’t sure if it was open source or not like SPT is where everyone can review the code.
default server ‘spt-aki’ is not available, i know how to set it up i played it yesterday for 3 hours and was fine but not today i cant connect to the server, any one have the same issue who can help fix this? i have tried a full fresh instal of spt to and still nothing
How do you use Tailscale? Do you add more user into your network or do you just share your machine to other people? I tried Tailscale and it worked fine but now I’m thinking about how to add more than 3 people (the maximum free tier allows).
Ah ok nice, heard someone say it was closed source so I wasn’t sure lol. Quick question though, does the person joining your server also have to have Radmin or are they able to just input the IP to the SPT server?
Honestly not a clue. I tried Hamachi which I was familiar with from ages ago but just couldn’t get it to work. RADmin has been great since I’ve set it up, my group can stay connected and we haven’t had any hiccups
You both have to run radmin. So you as the host would set up a radmin network, and have the client join that network. Then you just have them put your radmin IP into SPT-AKI’s launcher settings. And all of project fika’s code is on github, so no idea why someone would say it isn’t open source.
Thanks that’s sounds pretty simple. At least compared to port forwarding lol. Yeah the guy was arguing that SIT was better because it was open source and Fika isn’t. But since it was on GitHub I was kinda confused how it wasn’t open source lol.
