Hi,
I am using a M2 Air and suddenly noticed that I couldn’t load any pages in safari and in Firefox. I was connected to my home WiFi, and all other devices (including my iPhone, which also uses private relay) didn’t have any issues.
When I tried troubleshooting, it appeared to be iCloud private relay causing the issue. Once I disabled it, I could load pages just fine.
Is this a known bug? I tried searching , but most results are 2-3 years old, when the feature was relatively new.
I think the REAL question is why is this outage of icloud not a bigger story? I’ve been searching and no one seems to be talking about it. No news stories. Nothing on any of the major search engines.
I’ve rebooted my phone three times today thinking it was something with my WiFi specifically, but not actually enough to troubleshoot it properly. Same exact issue
Same! I just rebooted and when I opened my safari, it showed my saved folders with just a bunch of letters scattered throughout. Everything else seems to be working fine except safari
The IPR issue, does it have anything to do with Safari? This morning, Safari would not load any sites. I wasn’t sure if it was on my end or if it was related to IPR outage.
Same here, I think something is happening in Apple, and they aren’t telling us what it is, it seems that the IPR is down for some reason, because if you disable you can use Safari but when you activate it just crashes everything, either IRP is down or someone made something wrong and they’re fixing
on iphone it seems to be working okay, but on my mac, it is still not working even though the apple status report shows that it has been resolved. very weird that it takes this long to fix
It has so many issues, not just on Mac but also on iOS, especially when using VPNs. Sometimes, the only fix is restarting the Mac or iOS device. Such poorly made software.
If you use Steam and having download/no internet connection issues on Mac turn off private relay, do what you need to do then turn it back on. I’m posting this for anyone who Googles looking for a solution. Steam and Apple really need to get it together
