Please HELP! Can’t connect to citrix while using vpn in another country. (Issue in the comment)
First of all, you work in Healthcare, you should really call your IT team and or the Epic team that manages the session host servers and alert them you are attempting to sign into hyperspace from across the globe.
Second of all, make sure you let them know you maybe utilizing a vpn to achieve this. They may have geofencing blocks on third world country or even outside centralized regional states.
Don’t ask me how I know. I also work in Healthcare and that screenshot of your companies storefront is very telling.
Third, I hope you take this opportunity not to use Epic from a third world country. Just think of PHI. Just my 2 cents. Nothing like putting users at risk.
Lastly, call IT. Very important… and get it escalated to the networking/infosec team and disclose what you are trying to do.
Chrome based VPN may work for accessing the storefront but not connecting to the desktop or apps themselves since this is occurring outside the browser by the ICA client. The VPN client might also not be tunneling the proper ports necessary for connectivity.
Why do you need to use the VPN in the first place? Does your work not permit usage outside of the US? Is this their only VPN solution, or do they have a corporate VPN you could use.
My company uses citrix for remote work. I just travelled to another country, using chrome-based vpn to connect with US IP and expected to work just fine.
I was able access the app menu. However, wheni download the app and launch them with citrix, they will not open, showing an error message as shown in the picture.
Please help!
