So I just noticed a few weeks ago that updating my opera android browser to the latest version will not allow me to pass cloudflare verification I tick the box and it loops,I’ve deleted cookies and data ,ive uninstalled and reinstalled,I’ve factory reset phone,I never ever use a vpn or plug ins.the older versions of opera for android work and can get past cloudflare verification no issue,other browsers i have are opera beta still on my phone version 62.3 and that works still.i really hope opera fixes this as I’ve used opera as my main browser for many decades. And dont want to have to find a new browser because there is no issue with firefox, chrome or the stock Samsung uilt in browser, even opera mini works ,its just the latest version of opera,I’m hoping this can be fixed in an update.when ever I’m browsing and a cloudflare verification comes up I have to switch over to v62.3 opera beta this is not ideal or switch to any other browser to pass the cloudflare verification
And the other issue with this update is ebay will not display properly in desktop like it used to ebay notification at the bottom of some screens says this browser is outdated or incompatible and I’ve noticed some parts of ebay load into the old wap style mobile version and you can choose classic or mobile at the bottom even though opera is set to desktop all the time this issues again is only on this updated version no issues with any other browser,now ebay cannot be used properly on opera for android on this latest version,but older versions working correctly including the old beta
I’m in the uk if that matters also tried using mobile data ,turned off trackers turned off ad blocker accepted all cookies, in fact I’ve tried everything possible that I can think off opera v83 must be broken from the update
So I checked and opera just released version 83.5.4388.80967
But it didn’t fix the cloudflare or Ebay issues

so I checked the setting on the cloned app and its something to do with text wrap and desktop user agent in accessibility setting,the clones app has text wrap off,and the user agent is set to mobile.
So I tried this setting on the offical app and it worked and I got passed cloudflare so tried to change it back to user agent desktop in accessibility setting and the cloudflare loop started and couldn’t pass authentication,
Then I changed it back to mobile but now it still will not pass cloudflare I just dont get this
seems to be an issue with desktop mode I cannot pass cloudflare in desktop mode but if I toggle back and forth from mobile to desktop back to mobile a few times it will work and let me pass cloudflare this is not good because the mobile sites are not great compared to desktop. any tips guys?
defualt site layout via user agent must be set to mobile to pass cloudflare authentication as sonnas you put it back to desktop it cannot pass cloudflare the odd thing is old versions of opera work perfectly using desktop user agent and pass cloudflare every time
its 100 percent something up the the desktop user agent mode and cloudflare on this latest version of opera for android
I guess I’ll just have to downgrade opera or use another browser to pass cloudflare and to use ebay.co.uk because I dont like using mobile sites
I am having the exact same problem with Opera on my Galaxy Note 8 after a recent update. Just can’t get past Clouflare verification. No problem on Chrome but just can’t do it on Opera. Have no idea what’s causing it. Will have to go back to an older version.
For the Ebay issue in desktop mode, it might be related to the User Agent too. Not sure. I can’t test on Android.
no vpn mate I’m using an old phone galaxy Note 9 if that’s any help ,as I said In the op all other browsers work and pass cloudflare authentication using an old version of opera will also fix the issue with ebay and cloudflare but I want to use the new version as they are generally better,im sure I’m not the only person having this same issue .let’s wait and see if there are other responses
ps I also get alot of crashes on certain sites like argos and SHD medical and others the browser crashes saying KEY CHAIN KEEPS STOPPING ,so I clear cashe and data on key chain in system apps but that dosnet help,i get this alot only on some sites and it happens 100 percent of the time on these certain sites.ive scanned phone for mallwhere and viruses its clean.and factory reset the phone fresh install not from back up to check,to no avail if this cannot be fixed I guess I’ll have to permanently switch to another web browser will be a very sad day for me as I have hundereds of bookmarks and saved pages and speeddials
well I’ve been doing some digging mate and cloned opera and then go to the sites that have cloudflare for example uksteroidsshop.com and the cloned app let me in and passed the cloudflare no issue,tried others and I can pass cloudflare using cloned opera
So has anyone got any ideas why the cloned app works ?I’m not technically minded about these things and if someone could guide me into getting the normal non cloned app to get passed cloudflare I would greatly appreciate that and gift everyone

Ok. I have exactly the same problem with cloudflare as you on another website. (Latest build fresh installed opera, no extensions and blah-blah-blah). Tried this : CTRL+SHIFT+I → Three Dots near the gear → More Tools → Network Condition → User Agent, right here you can select whatever you want. BUTT! Nothing works against cloudflare. Maybe you are lucky. Try it.
And another test I made today. Used DPI to bypass some traffic., with no luck.

ok so even more digging this time with the ebay website not showing in desktop mode,so regardless of if the browser is set to desktop ebay will show in the Mobile version.but if I open a private tab on opera and go to Ebay and sign in it’s in desktop view.opera is a joke
I went back to the private tab and it’s back in the nasty mobile view again ,so opera does not work on galaxy Note 9 android pie and the latest version of opera
also if I go to site serrings in opera and search ebay site layout user agent desktop is toggled off,so I toggle it back on gk to ebay and still it’s in mobile view,then go back into opera site setting search ebay ans the toggle for desktop is turned off again
No problem accessing that site here. Didn’t even see any cloudflare authentication.
I tried it 2 weeks ago it didnt work bro,opera needs to know about these 2 issues ebay desktop layout broken and cloudflare then fix with an update,but I’m not holding my breath,I’ll just have to use another browser or downgrade opera back to what I was on before this issues started,also opera crashes in certain sites I can recreate it every time,the browser closes and it says keychain keeps stopping or something along those lines, almost ready to ditch opera now after it being my main browser for decades
Goto https://www.whatismybrowser.com/detect/what-is-my-user-agent/ in both desktop mode and mobile mode in Opera. What’s it say your user agent is for each?

Reached the cloudflare.com there is HelpCenter that is using the same B***A*** method that covers data from website. It passes well with nothing. Like a charm. The “Thing” is going crazy on other websites.
From now. Install extension - User Agent
Select the target - Safari on MacOs
Apply
Restart browser. Just do it without a question.
Turn off Opera Ad blocker - it’s build in feature, turn it off in extensions.
Open your site with cloudflare.
CTRL+SHIFT+I – → Three Dots near the gear → More Tools → Network Condition → User Agent
Play with it, change it to chrome and restart.
Then you can change it to default.
Did it 3 times nothing works with it.
Browser history - Advanced - Check: News Usage data. Coockies and other blah blah. Cached images.
Delete alll the time. Restart opera.
Uhm. Works. But if it’s not - try again few steps with removing useragent in the end and again clearing web data and cache with restart.
