Not getting VPN to work

So I know a lot of people here are strictly against this but me and our group of friends are not profiting of Warzone in any kind of way. We just want to play on some prime American servers and we cannot get any vpn to work. So far we’ve tried nordVPN, NolagVPN and IPVanish, all we’re getting is a 200ms search ping, no lobbies at all. Any suggestions of working VPN brands ? We’re on EU servers atm

I’m sorry I can’t answer this, I’m just curious why people want to vpn?

Does it give some sort of advantage based on ping?

Doesn’t a vpn just alter your perceived location allowing you to match into different server regions?

Don’t really know much about VPN’s but the party leader needs to be using it, just in case you don’t know.

Move 2000 miles west and try again.

You should start out by trying out a VPN that actually does something like lobbygod and doesn’t only pretend to do shit for your money.

A service that doesn’t let you try it out without paying is not confident enough in what they do. Remember that.

I use NordVPN to play on US servers all the time, and I’ve been doing this for years. EU servers are full of hackers and sweaty nerds with nothing better to do than play like their lives depended on it.

The problem is that it seems Activision may be blocking certain IP addresses that are attributed to VPNs and this is made worse depending on the platform you use.

For example, with MW3 (specific game modes) and Warzone, it takes extremely long to find a match, if at all when I use the Battle net launcher to play. If I play using the Steam or Xbox App/Microsoft Store PC version, I find a match just fine on the VPN.

I didn’t have any problems using a VPN for the PS5 either, so I don’t think Sony blocks it.

If you still encounter problems, which you shouldn’t; then purchasing a dedicated IP from your VPN provider should fix the issue.

Maybe try getting better instead of trying to play on easier servers. Pathetic.

The VPNs that you hear people talk about in COD terms aren’t traditional VPNs. The long and short of it is that it briefly confuses the matchmaking system and makes it more likely to chuck you in to whatever match is available (circumventing SBMM) to avoid a long queue time. You don’t actually change location; you still play on your local server.

This request isn’t for that type of VPN. The OP wants to actually queue in to a North American server rather than his local ones. There is a perception (I’m not saying rightly or wrongly) that North American servers are on average a lot easier than European ones. Even Top 250 EU players will geofence to an NA server because of this.

Eu servers are essentially a Chinese hackerfest.

Probably due to empty servers in a certain region.

Do you just change the location no the nordvpn app, and you are ready to go? Call of duty won’t connect me to data and ask me to check my internet connection

Listen to this guy he knows what he is talking about. There is all interest for EU players to matchmake in NA , first because you will always play outside peak hours which means easier lobbies, this is the biggest reason for bot lobbies that we see streamers get ( playing at 3 am in the morning and stuff like that), on the other side if you play from 20 to 23 you are getting the sweatiest lobbies. On top of this EU seems to have an insane percentage of cheaters probably due to the exposure to Chinese and Russian cheater farms

COD just implemented a system to limit VPN use, so you just have to switch locations until you find a server that works. Closest servers work best, but I am in the UK and play on US servers which still works.

Lol classic loser. :joy:

Does purchasing a dedicated ip from nordvpn provide me with open or moderate nat? I’m currently on closed nat and I want to fix that issue

Yeah u definitely mad

You’re the one that got mad enough to look for a VPN to have easier lobbies.

lol, why are you upset about me wanting to VPN

There’s no one here upset lol. Stop trying to gaslight, just because someone calls you out doesn’t mean they are mad. Using a vpn to find an easier lobby is cheating, doesn’t mater if youre profiting from it or not.

Nothing under Activision terms bans VPNing so you’re in fact, wrong
