No internet access on my laptop when connected to NordVPN

But in my android phone, it’s okay.I can’t connect to a server in my laptop because the internet connection will be gone.

EDIT: Tried switching VPN protocol, from Nordlynx to OpenVPN (UDP), and internet is back!

What’s up with nordlynx? and is it okay if i use OpenVPN?

Nordlynx is Nord’s name for Wireguard which is just a more modern VPN protocol that typically gets better internet speeds.

OpenVPN is an older protocol that gets slower speeds but it’s better when it comes to avoiding VPN detection for streaming purposes.

You would use OpenVPN UDP anyway if you want to use any kind of streaming service with a VPN. Nordlynx would get you detected as a VPN user most likely unless you get lucky.

It may be that your ISP is blocking connections through NordLynx. All protocols are fine to use

Try disabling threat protection if you enabled it. Also check if there is any antivirus or internet security software running as these might interfere with vpn connection.

I’m not streaming really. I just want to have the vpn open since I paid for it.

Just wanted to say switching to OpenVPN UDP in the NordVPN app settings helped me avoid the VPN detection!
