The subscription was going through my PayPal, so I never realised it was for expressvpn. Looking back at my emails, it seems I’ve been getting charged since May, but the last subscription charge was yesterday.
I literally only ever use NordVPN, and can’t even recall using this once. I don’t even have it installed on my pc or phone, but I must of used it at least once to be getting charged for it all this time.
I know I can’t get a refund for the last 4 months, but what are my chances of getting the last payment of $12.95 refunded?
Be persistent AF, open 3 chats at once asking for a refund. And keep it up at random times throughout the day. Eventually you’ll get your refund. It might take 2-3 days.
I am almost positive you will not get anything back. You might even get one last charge still coming that happens when they close that “mistake”. This is the very reason I jumped ship from Express to Nord. I was notidlfied by my bank I was being charged twice a month for over a year.
They told me that I could not receive any refund because they can’t verify that both accounts were being used and they are committed to uphold there privacy standards, so no records would have been retained that could show it.
I get it but Fuck them. If they wiuld have thrown me a bone of 5 or 3 months back I would have been ok cause I had 0 problems and I really liked there platform. But that’s Capitalism for yea! Max those Profits!
Happen to me i open and account from expressvpn and after one week they charge me already. So i cancel my subscription from them. I dont recommend it. It happend to a friend of mine too she is being charged after cancelling it and she didnt now .So she cancel it
Yeah I managed to get my money back eventually, but I had to talk to multiple customer support agents. The first 2 would claim to be doing something, but then would go silent and let the call idle long enough for it to be automatically closed so they didn’t have to deal with it.
Once I got the money back, I removed my bank details and made them delete my account so it could never happen again. Getting the account Deleted was another kind of pain in the ass, where I had to specifically email them and officially request my account be deleted.
Dodgy buggers, I’d much rather stick with NordVPN.
