Like my neighbour country has almast the half of the costs that i need to pay. I wish to pay with his currency also, is there a way to do it?
That is a good question, bumping.
Let’s say you’re an European, you usually pays in €uros, how will you get your hands on yens or dollars if it’s not your thing (meaning, it’s not something you do monthly or even yearly)
Woah are other countries paying less !?
What’s the cheapest country?
Anyway, tried it, didn’t work.
You’re pinned to the first country/currency you’re connected with.
Put my location as China, game still showing prices in €uros… and the same amount, not less.
It’s a shame… their prices are tremendous… you need to pay 30/50/100€ for everything, it’s the price of multiple AAA games.
Never putting a cent in this game if i can’t even change currencies with a VPN.
Same, if I change my country in appstore, the curreny changes, but the cost is the same. You get the prices of the region where you install the app the first time. VPN has nothing to do with it as the price is applied by the store region on app installation. In order to install the app from another region, you need a local payment card and phone number. This is not a requirement by the app developer, but the appstore itself.
FYI a 9,99€ purchase is about 1,3€ in Chinese app.
Tried to change the App Store region (without uninstall/reinstall, and no card changes), but didn’t work either, didn’t let me, still showed my origin country. (but said something like “Region: Russia”).
And yes, these prices are more fair… i don’t want to put 4x 49.99€ for basic advancement/help queues, crazy amount of money for a mobile game.
Will try again another time/day, but since i don’t have a chinese/russia credit card or phone number, this will probably not work i guess.
I even tried with a spare iPhone and created a fake account in Taiwan, still the bank card verification is something that’s hard to circumvent Anyway kind a bummer that some regions get 10x discount, that’s where most of the whales come from and it doesn´t surprise me with those prices.
