Is the VPN trick still necessary?

Is anyone able to confirm if they needed it at one point but can play songs without it now?

Asking because spotify on windows now doesn’t let me log in due to being in a different location

For me at least, still is needed. Every 14 days my playlist stops working and need to do change location again.

Depends on where you live. I never had to use it. For me Spotify just works always.

Yes, I will either be logged out or songs won’t appear on the album I want to listen to every couple of weeks

where I live all is OK no need for VPN, latin america

Use Spotify with the vpn on once a week and you won’t have to change location every 14 days. At least fot me this works…

I just realized you don’t need to change location, just turn on the VPN. I have my location set for Spain, when the 14 days pass I just turn the VPN for Spain for a few seconds and automatically Spotify “unblocks”, then I turn it off again and it works for another 14 days.

Yup, same here. I never have issues with Spotify.

-Get a VPN on your phone that allows you to connect to a US server

  • go to this website Login - Spotify and switch your location to US

  • Save and close all apps, then check if it works.

  • If it doesn’t work, download the latest experimental version of the app either through xmanager or the discord group, and start all over again.
