It has worked fine until yesterday, and still not working this morning. Want to know if it is for everyone or just me. Just sits there saying “connecting…” but never finishes.

It says that the L2TP connection attempt failed because the security later encountered a processing error during initial negotiations with the remote computer
Let me know if you find a solution, I think I’m going to call UF IT to try to figure it out later today unless by some miracle it starts working again
Okay i fixed my problem. I had been connecting to the VPN manually via Win10. i just went and installed the anyconnect client and it is working.
What OS are your coworkers and you using?
I’ve had that happen many times and it is temporary and not the same problem I have now. I get nothing…just sits there and never connects.
Same here, I contacted the help desk and they told me to download Cisco via the website vpn.ufl.edu and it worked
That’s odd, mine sits and says connecting for several minutes before raising that error message. Last night, there were a couple of times where an error message never came up but for most of my attempts, something popped up.
What do you do to fix this temporary issue? I’ve deleted and recreated my VPN, made sure I had all of the correct properties selected and made sure the IPSEC options were running automatically and not manually
I had been using it via Windows 10 forever with no problems. Just downloaded the Cisco files and it works (not through Windows). Did the helpdesk say why the W10 isn’t working? Will it ever work or do we have to keep using the Cisco version?
me too. And I just asked a reference librarian about it and they said there are no problems that they know of. If someone gets in touch with the IT help desk - can you post on here what they say? Thx
