I have Google One for the 2TB storage for my family, and it comes with free VPN by Google I think. Is this okay to use for torrenting or should I use another service?

I’m just surprised that this question really involves anything related to TRUE security, privacy and SAFETY would have any of the names in it like Google, M$, AW$, and minions even in the same sentence as being serious.

late answer but I had the same question, so I checked by using websites testing your “torrent Ip address” such as whatismyip.net or Torguard - my IP is leaked even when VPN is switched on. So I’d pass on this.

If you’re just downloading roms and not torrenting, you don’t need to be anonymous at all because you are not sharing the copyrighted content. You are free to download it over any connection

Are they uncommon? If not, just use direct download. No risk of getting a letter and capped speeds won’t really matter since it’ll finish in a few minutes at most anyways.
