is it possible for me to bypass vpn detections by websites when using linux? i downloaded virtual box and linux for this reason since well u can’t bypass using vpns on a device. idk anything abt linux nor virtual boxes.

So, what was your reason for automatically assuming that Linux could “bypass VPN detection”.
Also, bypass VPN detection from what? Your school? Employer? Website? If it’s a website blocking a VPN, there is nothing you can do. That website can trace the IP you connect with and see if it’s coming from a residential IP, or a datacenter.
If you use a VPN through a service provider, the website who tracks where the connection came from will know it is one of the VPN provider’s address.
If you have a VPS on Amazon or something doing VPN and you go through that, it would be less likely to be seen as a VPN as those VPS may serve other legit purposes.
Rent a server where you want to be and vpn to that server. Ask ChatGPT or something if you want more info on how to do that.
Of course, set up a server at someone else’s home and vpn through it. You can also rent a VPN but depending on the methodology they might detect it.
Use a vps and host your vpn there
They’re probably using something like IPQS to detect if you’re using a VPN or not. So maybe try and find a residential proxy that hasn’t been fingerprinted yet to evade detection? It’s a bit of a cat and mouse game for sure.
Bypass what from detecting that what is on a VPN?
Is your problem that you can’t connect to the VPN or that the VPN can’t connect to something else or that something on a VPN can’t connect to you?
my goal is changing my location without it being noticed whether it’s by using a vpn or changing my ip address in another way without the use of a vpn
How about router blocking VPN traffic?
When I connect to some public wifis (e.g. grocery store or hospital) I have to disconnect from Wireguard in order to communicate with anything on my phone.
Watch your tone. No one is being aggressive, please relax.
Also, you haven’t answered my question about what you are trying to bypass. Website? Likely a streaming service of some sort?
I’d recommend running a SOCKS proxy over SSH tunneling and (using dynamic dns if you don’t have a static IP) to push traffic over a network you control. You can basically push web traffic over SSH that way. Extra points for putting the SSH server on 80 or 443.
kinda a long story but some get paid doing surveys websites. different countries differ in survey availability and how much u can earn so i wanna connect to a country w a higher pay rate
In that case, the survey websites will be able to see that your IP is coming from a VPN and block it. The only sure-fire way around this is to have a friend who lives in a different country to host a VPN on their own network via something like WireGuard.
this helps appreciate it
