If I'm Connected to a VPN on my computer, can I torrent to a NAS without my ISP Knowing

I have a subscription to NordVPN and, so far, I have been connecting to that on my computer, torrenting, and then transferring completed files to a family NAS. I’m wondering if it’s possible for me to just set the destination location for the torrent to the NAS instead of downloading it locally and transferring after the fact. My concern is, will the ISP see the torrenting since the NAS will not be on the VPN even though the computer doing the actual torrenting will be? I don’t really want to set up my own VPN for the NAS since its shared and my family wouldn’t be about that, but I will if I need to.

Also, make sure your torrent client is bound to the VPN interface. This is the only bulletproof method of ensuring you’ll never leak your true IP on the swarm. Torrent client will not transfer a single bit of data if the VPN isn’t on and connected.

You’re NAS is on your home (private) network right. The transfer from your computer to your NAS is over this network - no VPN is required as the data isn’t leaving your home network (I.e. it’s your private network).

The VPN is required between your computer and the seeds you are connecting to via the internet (public network).

So, yes, what you’re proposing is fine.

Depends if your going direct to your NAS or VIA your PC first

If your tech inclined and you have something like Synology you could setup VPN and torrenting directly on NAS.

Yes.

No. Also your ISP doesn’t care about torrents.

They do if they get a cease and desist from the copyright owners…. Granted it doesn’t happen often, if ever
