As i said i know how to torrent, but i am broke so im confused if i should use a free vpn and download like 4 games and buy mullvad (or a cheaper one if you guys suggest)
or 2 should i use a free vpn (such as x-vpn) and use it from there…
i use fit-girl and q bit (i know the basics to torrenting)
and is there anything you guys suggest? (i am relatively new)
Any free torrenting vpns are lying, just buy a vpn for the month and download what you need within that time
My suggestion is get a cheap vpn I have used ivacy for years now and they offer a 5 year plan if you can pay 70 dollars upfront you have a really low monthly price.
Just get a real-debrid account
thanks, i think im going to buy mullvad for like 6 months and that will allow me to do it for a while in case i think about something
Yup. Yup. Yup.
In life you’re gonna want to be immediately weary of anything that says it’s free. But with a VPN: they’re not free.
He is not getting in if he is new to it.
like do i use one? if so how?
Mullvad is good, but doesn’t support port forwarding, which is a must for torrenting.
You’ve got to find one that is specific to your interests (movie, games, TV) and either do their open interview process or find somebody with an invite. Then you don’t really need the VPN
Newbie here. Why is port forwarding a must?
Wrong mullvad specifically supports port forwarding. You forward what ever port they do which I believe is 50180. NordVPN doesn’t support port forwarding it’s also riddled with DNS leaks where Mullvad isn’t. Private internet access is trash and slow as dog shit. I have all 3, my favorite is Mullvad but I’m struggling with the killswitch/wireguard on my docker set up so I’m using nordVPN at the moment which has great speeds but the lack of port forwarding is definitely noticeable. I’ll eventually be full Mullvad when I get the time to troubleshoot my killswitch.
NAT. You can connect to more peers and at better speeds, as you become more visible, and not just for downloading/leeching, but for seeding too.
AFAIK, Mullvad had port forwarding, but they removed it over a year or so ago.
Not sure where you’re getting that info from, they specifically announced they ended port forwarding last year
I stand corrected. I just realized the wireguard port was just for the VPN tunnel. Well that was a let down.
