I keep getting "Too many attempts. Try again later." when I try to login through my computer

I’m logged in to my tiktok on both my phone and my ipad but whenever I try to login through my computer I keep getting " Too many attempts. Try again later." How long am I supposed to wait?

Edit: What worked for me was using a different browser.

Has anyone found solutions? I tried vpn, report,clear cache/data… Nothing has worked so far (im on android btw)

I just started having this problem in the past 24 hours. Seeing how recent your post is, I’m commenting in case you find an answer. I’m having the problem on my android.

this happened to me but on my iphone. the only thing that fixed it was creating a new account, logging in to that one, going to the switch account feature on the profile tab, and adding my original account there. i could log in with no problems

I FINALLY GOT IT TO WORK ON BRAVE BROWSER. I disabled ad blocking in settings AS WELL as fingerprinting. I did multiple things before this so if it doesnt work for you, I did also change my DNS to 8.8.8.8 but that by itself did not work. The fingerprint disable was the last thing I had to do to get it to sign in. (otherwise incognito always works)

i just switched to another wifi and it worked

I had deleted the app on my iPhone for like a year and just reinstalled it and it immediately gave me this message. I just turned the WiFi off on my phone to get the cellular IP address and then it worked.

Allowing 3rd party cookies on Chrome, fixed issue straight away

I’m on android, have two accounts. One has the “try again” and the other doesn’t.

Changed network settings
Wifi to mobile and back
Uninstalled and reinstalled the app

I have the same problem except it’s the opposite for me, I cannot login through my iPhone, but I can in my PC.

I am having the same problem. It first stopped working on my laptop(i was using Chrome) and now it keeps doing that on my phone too.

Edit: Guys i figured it out. Use a vpn. I tried it and now it lets me log in. Best of luck :slight_smile:

Guys i found a solution (fix) follow these steps:

  1. delete tik tok
  2. download an older version of tiktok apk from chrome for example i used version 14.4.6
  3. now that u installed the older version, u can log in from there
  4. after logging in, go to play store and update tiktok to the latest version
    5)there you go, it is fixed.

This seem to be resolved by using a vpn
I think the accounts suffering from this issue used vpn (or logged from a dofferent country) in the past on an older version so the new version wants to verify they’re the same people …

I’m getting the same error message through the app on iOS when I try to sign up…I don’t even actually have an account yet because it hasn’t let me set one up due to this error.
