Hey guys, I’m pretty new to VPNs and could use some help. My company uses a private VPN to access internal tools like Wiki, and I’m currently using Cisco Anyconnect Client, but it’s just not cutting it for me.
I was wondering if anyone knew of a way to embed the VPN directly into Firefox or another browser for a smoother experience? Just to give you some context, the VPN requires me to enter my user and password.
Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!
What is the protocol of the “private VPN”?
while many will say it’s not an optimal way - use some vpn browser extension. IDK if it’s allowed to share the exact extension names but there’s plenty for any browser
My uninformed opinion would be that is is not possible to replace the Cisco client with another. I say that because Cisco is a leader in network communications and more than likely use proprietary protocols to communicate between Server and Client. On top of that they can leverage that dominance to client software sales (or leases?), sales that wouldn’t happen if any browser could be modified.
