I’ve removed the app (and I don’t have the config profile installed), but I still have Next DNS listed in the available options (in the iOS settings app). Anyone know how to remove this?
Happening to me as well. https://i.imgur.com/dAfbA6l.jpg
The solution that worked for me:
- I reinstalled Next DNS.
- Installed the configuration profile and enabled it.
- Disabled the dns from within the app.
- Unselected the Next DNS from general>VPN and Device Management and changed it to automatic.
- *Went to General>iPhone Storage and uninstalled Next DNS app from there.
*I think the important thing to do is uninstall the app from iPhone storage and not from the home screen.
You can’t, it’s bugged. Had the same thing happen to me awhile back and only way to fix it was restore to a backup from before the app was installed.
Are you unable to remove it via Settings->General->Profiles?
select DNS Automatic => Delete app from iPhone Storage => Done
i also have this problem, already reset the phone from backup but unfortunately the backup was from after installing the profile, tried installing again and removing, also the same for the nextdns app, the original profile remains and keeps giving me authorisation pop ups, even after I trust it!!!
HOW TO REMOVE THIS PLEASE!
Just spent an hour on the phone with Apple. The solution that worked for me was:
- Turn off Screen Time (Settings > Screen Time > Turn Off Screen Time)
- Delete the NextDNS app, and select “Delete all data”
- Verify the NextDNS entry is deleted
- Turn on screen time
Did this ever get fixed? I’m still seeing the old NextDNS profile but I removed the app.
This worked for me, so thank you!
no removal option there for me
Wow, screentime trick actually worked! Thanks for the tip!
I’m gonna be honest, I did not expect that to work
Can confirm this works—
I had initially uninstalled so had to reinstall and uninstall again, which cleared it.
I did not. I gave up.
