You probably have a “slip tunneling” option in your VPN. When enabled you should be able to select apps that won’t use your VPN.
Is dofus banned in china?
Nope. They prefer to lose the players over dealing with the concerns that come with proxies and VPN useds
Dofus is banned in China. You can’t play. If you use a VPN, your account could get banned cause the use of a VPN is not accepted. Ankama banned China because of china hackers. Look on their website
I have a simple solution for this. I already play with a vpn sometimes. The trick is that the vpn is not a mass sale one. It’s a primitive vpn: a connection to a remote computer. I have a computer set up in Ireland. It’s a physical server that my company set up and the IP address is used to serve some things to some clients. It’s an exclusive IP address. That’s why it’s not in any blacklist.
VPN detection is done through IP ban lists. They just get a list of vpn IP addresses and ban those.
The ideal solution for you would be to get someone to set up a vpn server at home or some company you’re in touch with to get a computer in another country, and just connect to it. It’s a vpn, and it does the job, and it’s not banned.
Migrate to Japan and play there.
It’s not slip tunnel but split tunnel.
I’ve seen conflicting information over the year about dofus being unbanned there, but Ankama had officially banned all Chinese IP in the dofus 1 era to combat botting and goldselling
Which is understandable for the game. I’m just a bit annoyed at the website and forum also being unable to be accessed through a VPN since there is no easy way to whitelist a website over another unlike an application.
That sounds like a bizarre decision considering how many potential players they lose out on
I use my own services so I have no clue how things would work with a VPN provider. My VPNs have no issue accessing the site. (Nor do my personal VPN servers. Though they are allowed to ban accounts trafficked trough them. So probably not the way to go(TOS)
Officially they lose on nothing as Chinese gamers aren’t supposed to have access to these foreign games anyway. They’d need to open a Chinese branch to go after this market.
