My first introduction to the concept of a VPN was when a few people in a forum were discussing how often their IP address changes while they’re online. I remember one of the people involved said his changes 30 times per second.
I have no idea how legitimate that is and my google-fu has failed me, likely due to not understanding the technical terminology.
How often do normal VPN’s change IP addresses of their users?
the vpn I use changes ip depending on where whoever I am connecting to is. but I can make it ‘static’ too.
Some clients you can set up to change at different times. I just change mine manually.
With the VPN I use I’ve noticed it changing from one day to the next.
It usually stays the same if I disconnect and reconnect, but it will change on occasion too.
It doesn’t seem to change if I just stay connected.
Nope.
It can change just by clicking disconnect and reconnecting.
This may change from VPN to VPN but it’s not consistent to say that of you don’t change the location you’re using you will “always have the same IP”
With the VPN I use it does and will change.
Not every time, but it can often.
