I’m just happy with the fact that these mofos can’t beat me in a fair game, which implies that they already accepted their defeat by choosing to cheat.don’t care about the stats, they pussied out of a fair game with me that pretty much is enough to please my soul☠️

As you can see I started the unranked mode without vpn, played for a few minutes, went back to connect the vpn then played sometime and disconnected and played again. It didn’t disconnect me at all.

This is the original post.

The sad thing is EA are also under the belief that the VPN or poorly connected user is suffering performance problems and that the problem is that you’re just not used to the latency but we can all tell that the other party is having no performance issues at all when in game. Why someone else having a rubbish connection makes the game playable for them, flashing emotes while running rings round my static team, and makes it completely unplayable at my end is a complete mystery which surely only EA know the answer to.

Hi, o don’t play H2H but i liked to now how this afect the game?

They won’t do anything about it though!

This is basically cheating. If you connect to a vpn and then start a h2h game the opponent will have a hard time playing because the vpn messes up their gameplay. It makes their game lag, they get delayed input response and their game stutters etc.It gives the vpn user an unfair advantage.

Yeah, they just don’t seem to see it as an issue. I guess as long as the gambling and card collecting elements of the game work okay they couldn’t give two hoots about the actual football bit.

For the love of God, one of you guys explain this: The VPN user also suffers from the same lag he creates as clearly seen on the video you have posted. So… What is the point?

The lag was only the delayed response to the input. But the opponent suffers from much worse.Their game has frame skips, stuttering in addition to the lag caused due to the unstable connetion.

So as you in this video I connected to US server in the vpn.But I reside in India. This is what happens when I connect to an Indian Server in the vpn and then play the game.Their is no delay and the game is very much playable. The frame drops you might see are because of the screen recorder as I have a low end device.

You are right, if you use vpn against an opponent in your own region then you are basically kicking yourself in the nuts because it only screws your connection & not for the opponent.

However, if you do this against someone connecting from a different region then it improves ping slightly…it will still be shit but improves a tad.

How do you know what the opponent experiences? Maybe he sees the same thing as you. In fact, don’t reply that in my opinion. This is a debate which will go on forever. Just nevermind.

I am aware that you guys in the Indian subcontinent suffer from this network related gameplay issues most of all, because of the deal with Vietnam. So I can understand the frustration. I honestly do.

Once again, I do appreciate you for taking the time and effort to make a point, I mean it. This is the right approach to complain about something. :+1:

Peace.

It seems obvious in game when it is impossible to perform time sensitive operations such as skill moves - often I would need to have input the skill move prior to a player even receiving the ball for him to actually attempt it whilst in possession (still too late and will have lost the ball). The opponent meanwhile will be fully able to pull skill moves on my defenders who are stood still at the time apparently waiting to receive the move message I sent them several seconds ago. Whilst I am unable to directly see my opponent’s experience, if they were suffering the same input latency as me, it would be impossible for them to still be doing time sensitive plays.

i don’t understand why all these 12 year old think they’re the next Edward Snowden uncovering cheaters in FM. They don’t understand how VPN works and just cry about it all day. If you are in India, and connect to the US, you’re connection will slow down too because all of the opponents movements, who is located in India, still need to be routed through the US back to India. It will lag for the VPN user too because it takes longer for ur game to register the opponent’s moves. Autoplaying + VPN might work, but autoplay is trash for me and lacks the intelligence to score goals. Please read a little bit about VPNs and use them outside of FM before acting like its the reason u lose H2H games. You lose because scripting screws u over, general server connection issues, or ur worse than ur opponent, simple as that.

That just doesn’t make sense to me because technically thinking the two sides should experience the same shitty gameplay, given the crippled two way communication. However, as too many of you guys are claiming the same thing, then yeah, I probably fail to see a detail here. I honestly wish I was a network engineer at EA, so I could work on this, analyze it throughly and eventually solve it.

I rest my case. I honestly wish this thing which is apperantly affecting the gameplay experience of so many of you guys is somehow resolved as soon as possible.

In fact, the whole VPN myth was recently debunked by this person himself on a separate post. He and another fellow redditor made a friendly match for testing purposes. The OP initiated VPN, and the other person did not experience a single problem connection or gameplaywise. Only the OP’s connection was screwed. :man_shrugging:t2:

I mean it when I say I appreciate what he has been doing though. He is experimenting to try to prove his point. Much preferable than the mindless rantstorms we see here everyday. Just my two cents.

I have been a network professional for the last 20+ years and this place made me question my abilities as an engineer. (I am fine now though). That is the power of mass-ranting I assume.
