How come a VPN doesnt work as a workaround?

I tried to side load it with an APK while VPNing to HongKong and still when it was finished downloading and I opened tik tok it showed a ton of errors. How come a VPN doesn’t work, can you guys think of any other work arounds

I was able to use for a bit on web with a VPN but it’s not gonna work for long rip Tik tok

I’m not sure. Because if you put it on airplane mode you can get on TikTok and your account is still there and everything. But obviously you can’t see videos or anything cuz there’s no connection. Also I’m seeing on red note people who aren’t in the us saying they can still see all of our accounts and everything

They have the IPs of datacenters, most VPNs are running from a datacenter.

You want to use a VPS and Remote Desktop, or get a residential IP VPN.

I can remote into my company servers in Japan right now and it works just fine, but we aren’t in a datacenter. So it looks like legit traffic.

I dug around, it is geolocked based on where the account is registered and the phone number used to register. Still looking for a workaround but seems unlikely because it is blocked at the user account level. You’d likely have to switch out the number to a number where it isn’t banned but that option is not live & client facing/accessible.

It’s also checking your SIM. Try disabling that.
