Has anyone used VPN Unlimited? I'm wary of these kind of deals, but they're offering three years of VPN service for $20

I saw this offer online and it looks like a good deal. I’ve never heard of the company though, so I’m wondering if anyone has used them or as has any opinions on them.

Well, they openly state that they log IP addresses.

Emailed them yesterday, they do not allow torrenting on their VPN.

I don’t even see any reviews online for it. It got a 3.8 rating, from what Google tells me. I’d stick with VPNs that we know and trust, and that’s a little too cheap to seem completely legitimate. But if you’d like to try it out and then leave a review for us to see that would be awesome haha.

The price has me very skeptical of their intentions. Their ToS is probably atrocious. If it sounds good to be true, it probably is.

I grabbed this VPN service as a trial run because of the price. If it was horrible, I would only be out $20. So far:

  • No issues with getting, or staying, connected.

  • Decent download speeds (speedtest.net reports 40-110mbps depending on what server I connect through).

  • No issues with large data downloads. (For a test I downloaded a bunch of Steam games across multiple computers and pulled down 120GB in a single day without any issues.)

  • No oddball network traffic. (I’m not a security expert, but I ran Wireshark and logged traffic and didn’t notice anything that was suspect.)

  • DNS leaks are an issue.

I would love to see some real security guys check it out provide a security review.

I am sorry but 3 years for $20 sounds too cheap and therefore I am skeptical.

If you aren’t going to use one that you can trust and has a good reputation why use one. I can recommend tunnelr.com as that is the only one I’ve dealt with.

Their TOS says they log access attempts to their servers, not log IP addresses of the websites you’re requesting. Is their some other documentation for me to look at?

That’s what I was wondering. Thanks!

They don’t allow torrenting on their US server end-points; choose an international end-point and they don’t block torrent traffic.

Well. That ends my curiosity. Thanks!

I think there was an article somewhere talking about how to fix dns leaks

Edit: found it
