Free software through UCLA

I’m a third year who just downloaded the ms office suite for free with my UCLA account.

Besides this and the Adobe creative cloud account, what other free software is UCLA paying for that I’m probably not taking advantage of?

You can get matlab for free.

We have like our own mini-Netflix, which you can connect to if you’re on campus wifi or on ucla vpn.

we get HBO through spectrum! gotta go through the spectrumU site

Unlimited google drive storage.

how do you get a free adobe creative cloud through ucla?

How did you get the Office? Like can I do it from home?

you also get windows 10 education version for free

There is Sophos anti-virus system

Does anyone know if ucla students get winzip for free?

does anyone know if the adobe license expires? or are we able to use it even after the quarter/graduation?

Wait how do I get this?

Also, google drive file stream. If you’re using Mac/Windows, you can mount google drive onto your file system.

You can access your drive as if it was a folder

try with your @ucla.edu email, not the @g.ucla.edu one. and if that doesn’t work, call up IT cause some folks are having trouble logging in to it

Yes! https://www.it.ucla.edu/news/microsoft-office-proplus

Probably expires after graduating

oh. huh well i don’t know. maybe? i am living in the uni apartments so the answer is probably yes actually

Yeah SpectrumU doesn’t work unless you live in UCLA housing.

Your g.ucla account has it.
