Firefox VPN and torrents?

I’ve been using Firefox VPN for a couple of years now and occasionally download torrents. Recently it seems my torrent client has completely stopped uploads and downloads. It was suggested to me that perhaps Firefox has disabled the capability to run a torrent client while running the VPN.

Any idea if that is indeed the case? Or any other suggestions?

I was in a similar situation, what fixed it for me was going into my firewall and making sure inbound connections were allowed for my torrent app in both private and public networks (it was originally set to only allow on private when mozilla vpn is considered public in the firewall).
