Pixel 6 pro. On 14 beta build AP21.240305.005
Fi VPN keeps deactivating itself. I haven’t seen how long it takes between incidents, but I’ve turned it back on several times today.
I know it’s vague and it is likely a software issue, but any thoughts?
Go to Settings->Apps->Google Fi->Battery. Change the value from “Optimized” to “Unrestricted”.
I have had nothing but awful experiences with the Fi VPN. What network are you connected to when it disconnects? For me, it was when I needed it- on my organization’s WiFi.
Report it to the beta team, not here.
Isn’t the Fi VPN deprecated? I thought they were pushing the Google one VPN?
You are a gentleman and a scholar. Thanks!
There’s a history of posts of user’s having issues with their company’s network and Google Fi’s VPN. For regular users on their personal networks it’s seamless.
Wasn’t sure if it was a beta issue or a fi issue so I thought I’d see if anyone else had experienced similar first.
I’m on my personal network. Just my home wireless.
Hello OP, my previous post was actually for the other poster. I vaguely recall a post similar to yours and the user found that they had a MTN (I think) mismatch between their modem and what the VPN was looking for. Hopefully someone will post with better info.
