So I was assuming downloading mods wouldn’t be as painful now that I’m on fibre optics, but apparently I was wrong. With premium and internet that could download Ghost Recon Breakpoint, ESO and AC Valhalla in 10 minutes I can’t break above 2mb/s when downloading anything over 1gb. Every download server is way slower except for CDN which I always use. Just sucks that even with premium and good net nexus downloads are still slow.
Which fiber network are you on? We’ve had a couple of cases recently of Google Fiber throttling download speeds from our site. Users reported if they used a VPN to bypass their ISPs traffic shaping, it would download at much higher speeds. Please could you try using a VPN and seeing if you get the same results? We have no control over how your ISP manages or throttles their network so, unfortunately, it is out of our hands.
We’re also happy to help further, but you’ll need to follow the instructions at I'm having download issues. What can I do? - Nexus Mods Site Help
I’m on some NZ ISP that no one has ever heard of. Sucks though if I need a VPN as I don’t really like the idea of paying for one just to mod Skyrim, and also not sure why my ISP would throttle Nexus downloads but nothing else. I’ll try find a VPN and come back to this if it doesn’t work. Cheers for the quick response.
