ERDAS or ENvI free trial?

Hi everyone,

I’d like to become familiar with either ERDAS or ENVI. I have looked around on their websites for free trials but haven’t found one.

Is there any way I can learn how to use the software without paying for it?

I have seen these skills listed on a lot of job apps and I’d like to at least know what they are/what they look like.

You’ll probably have a hard time finding ENVI for free. I had to use the software for one of my classes and searched high and low for it, but nothing. Asked the professor for a copy and he said he couldn’t hand any out due to the price of the software.

As for learning it without actually having it… Not sure how that would work out. Its a pretty intense program. I could send you my professors PowerPoint’s about it, but not sure how much good that would do without actually practicing with the program

I have experience with ERDAS. If I’m not mistaken, they now offer free trials of ERDAS IMAGINE. Get in touch with them. Last year they provided me with a 6 month evaluation copy.

Thanks, yea I really just want a little exposure to it. It’s unfortunate they don’t offer free trials, even just a week would be enough time to see what it’s about.
