Easiest way to reduce storage so you can cancel Google one?

The VPN is the last straw for me. It was super convenient because I have several Android devices and I could just use them in quick settings. didn’t you set up another account or another payment or anything.

now I have to start pricing for a VPN plan if I want to maintain a service that I’ve been paying for.

And I’m a pixel 6 Pro user so I don’t even get the pixel VPN.

anyway we’ve all heard this rant before so just you can ignore that but I’m looking for any advice.

If I download Google takeout and save it on OneDrive or SD card or something Is that sufficient?

Right now I’m at like 24 GB of storage so I realistically would like to cut that down to 10 or 12 I suppose so I can still get emails and so.

I have a tab S7 with 512 GB of storage that I’ve hardly used, and I have a OneDrive subscription so those are some of the options that are available to me

Save all your stuff to somewhere online !! Even if this hasn’t happened to you yet

BACKUP EVERYTHING YOU DONT WANNA LOOSE

They have diff websites just for this problem
Bc trust me you’re not alone

If you don’t have everything backed up locally on an external drive it’s likely a good idea even if you decide to keep your GoogleOne storage plan.

I’ve switched to the app 1.1.1.1 specifically WARP to have a secure connection from semi-public WiFi and not let my ISP spy on me. It also has a quick setting for phones. It’s basically like Google One and for FREE from Cloudflare. The paid tier Warp+ is not needed in my opinion.

I even use it also on my desktop with the GitHub project wgcf + official Wireguard client.
