Does Picking Japanese/Asia Server Change anything?

Like let’s say if your in the United Kingdom and all of Globals got shut down, would you be safe since your in Japanese server or no?

A single banner probably makes them enough to float servers 10 years. Will you really be playing ZZZ in the 10 years future? Things are going great on their games so i don’t think it’ll be an issue about global servers shutting down etc.

at least I don’t think they will shut down the usa server cuz this market has huge gamer population , it won’t be less than Japan gamers

Thanks for the answer. Just wanted to hear opinion I know this Game will last a decade if all goes well but I was more curious since if it would be better to pick asia since they tend to last longer based on GGZ due to their culture

The ping thing isn’t too bad for genshin and hsr

Moved to the uk from asia and have very little problems

Windtrace in genshin was kinda weird sometimes but nothing unplayable

Unlikely but not impossible, global servers of a lot of gachas are closing regularly while the asian ones keep running for years

How is picking asia server result to Hoyo shutting down global server?

It’s impossible to play on Chinese server. They don’t even have it on Qooapp or VPN. Last I check, you need I’d from the government of China to play games and I doubt I’ll get that.

I wouldn’t worry about it shutting down - GGZ was not nearly as popular as their newer games and the English translation was allegedly bad which was even more unappealing. Honkai 3rd is still running on multiple servers and the Europe server when I played never had that many people.

200 in genshin is fine, yea.

Star Rail doesn’t really care even if you have double that unless it is a last second switch attack or a debuff with a duration. So really rare.

Genshin at 400 on the other hand. Not something you can play the normal way. 300 is already a problem

This game seems even more fast paced so I would guess 200 is the upper limit for it to work properly. But I haven’t played it so it is just a guess. For sure 300 would be bad.
