I just reset my pc, and every time I booted up Nord kept asking for device permissions and wouldn’t update, so I uninstalled it. Now the installer won’t reinstall it. I tried running it as an administrator and turning my antivirus off and no luck. Weird.
Got the same problem. When the tiktok gang came along, i thought my install was bricked, since it just sat there loading. Uninstalled and downloaded the desktop app again. When i click the installer, it shows up in the taskmanager for 1 sec, then closes. No error messages. Done the same troubleshooting steps as you, including updating windows, drivers and runtime. As a temporary solution, you can use OpenVPN. There is a tutorial on how to set it up here: https://support.nordvpn.com/hc/en-us/articles/19749554331793-How-to-set-up-a-manual-connection-on-Windows-using-OpenVPN
I have the same problem, still haven’t found a solution.
Same here. The setup/installer launches, and then 3 seconds in just closes
I found a fix, I put the device online. I guess offline install isnt something NordVPN wants us doing. Time to start considering other VPNs. Odd that a product for people that seek privacy requires you to violate your own.
Anyone figure this shit out?
I was going to suggest OpenVPN too. But you lose a lot of the flexibility that comes from using the NordVPN app. And also access to NordLynx protocol.
Was this resolved for you?
