Creating a VPN on Linux Server

Okay. I followed the instructions and it installed. I’m confused on the website I need to go to. I put my server name then /index.php?installation. Previously I was using samba for my home file server. Will I not be using that anymore? How do I get to the website?

For the Angristan’s script ?

Interesting. Did you open it with sudo or root privileges?

If you installed it the right way, it’ll show you the page to create your first account/admin.

VPN is fully available on the basic ARRIS firmware, but of course comcast’s custom firmware removed that function. Fuckers.

Well, it was worth a shot. I haven’t really tried anything for VPN services on-server so I can’t do much to help you there, not till I do some experimenting on my own.

I’m willing to try that too yes.

I believe so but will double check when I’m back at the machine.

Pretty sure I did it right but now I’m trying to uninstall it to start over but it says the./deinstall.sh doesn’t exist

What about netgear 3000 modem router combo? I can’t seem to find yes or no online. This is from netgear not xfinity.

I use it for a while on all VPS .

OpenVPN installer for Debian, Ubuntu, Fedora, CentOS and Arch Linux.
This script will let you setup your own secure VPN server in just a few seconds

Its like Chocobozzz/OpenVPN-Admin but without “web interface”.

That script woke on Ubuntu server, I use it! Just use all defaults…

desinstall, not deinstall?

If you can find the specific model number (the only Netgear model number 3000 I can find is a wifi extender), I’m sure you can find a guide on configuration that should include any “extra” services the firmware supports.

ETA: This?

Yes. I concluded that it doesn’t have a built in VPN but I happen to have a different router that does. Thanks!
