Connecting to NordVPN software messes up my connection to the internet

And I have no idea what’s causing it.

To explain, whenever NordVPN starts up and connects, all my internet dependent software like Line, Discord, or my internet browser loses their connection to the internet.

It doesnt matter if I restart either side (Nord or the other softwares).

I’ve tried changing some of the VPN connection settings around to see if it would fix the issue, but it’s not. Is there any way to find out what goes wrong, and where it goes wrong? Or even better, does anyone know of a fix?

I’ve low-key given up hope for NordVPN and probably won’t renew my subscription when it goes out… some day, but I’d love to keep using it while I am still subscribed.

The firefox extension works fine, but that only works for my browser, not other software.

You can try switching to a different protocol (Settings → Connection → VPN protocol → UDP/TCP). And also setting up DNS and disabling Kill Switch if that didn’t help (Settings → Kill Switch → toggle on/off). Well and, if you haven’t tried it yet, you can try reinstalling the app too - this helps sometimes.

Thank you, I swear I tried changing protocols once already, but switching it to UDP seems to have fixed the connection for me.
