This is probably a stupid question but I can’t seem to find the answer on google, is there a switch somewhere that when you connect to the VPN it replaces your profile XML file?
I saw the auto update switch but that didn’t do anything.
Thank
You!

This happens automatically. The asa will push the new profile to the client when the client connects.
Auto-Update is the right setting. If it’s not getting the new version from the asa/ftd maybe check owner/rights on that file/location
This is incorrect.
The XML file will only update if it is configured in the group policy (in advanced → anyconnect client → client profiles to download). If you don’t select the profile here, the local XML file is not updated/amended.
It will push it if it is any different from cashed.
If you have several VPN gateways, make sure the XML is the same across the gateways. For example copy it by hand from primary ASA
auto-update refers to the anyconnect client version not the xml profile.
Uuuffff yes … what was I thinking lol. XML files gets updated without a special setting.
