I just bought a new Samsung tv and, as you all know, the F1TV app doesn’t work with it. I used to have a Hisense TV with Chromecast so I can tell the Chromecast works. The thing is that if the Roku is better I’d rather buy that one. I don’t honestly care for the other streaming services, I’m just looking to buy any of these devices to watch the F1.
Chromecast with Google TV works great. I prefer it over the Roku because of the ability to cast stuff from my Android phone.
If you need to use a VPN to watch F1TV get an Amazon 4k fireTV stick. I have Roku sticks and they are good apart from not supporting VPNs so I had to go Amazon just for the F1TV app and it works well.
It’s worth paying a bit extra to get the Roku or fire TV that comes with the remote with TV control button to save you having to find both remotes to change the volume.
You are good with Roku. That’s how I watch my races after canceling satellite/cable
Can someone point me in the best direction for me to cast to my Samsung TV.
I have an iPhone, I am based in the UK so will need a VPN. What is the best solution for me?
At the moment, I can only watch on my phone & iPad. When I try to cast live footage to the TV, it won’t load (guessing because I am using a VPN).
I use chromecast on my Samsung TV. Also an android user so casting is incredibly easy from my phone and my laptop (hp and dell over the years).
Had roku before and I liked it but the default apps on a smart TV are better than on roku unless you have a roku TV, and casting to a chromecast is better than to a roku.
Mexico. Fortunately, no need for a VPN
Not on my budget. Also, my TV is already filled with the most important streaming services, the only one missing is F1TV
Where do I set that?
On my Samsung I can AirPlay from my phone right to the tv with no issues during the race.
