Can't browse Facebook when connected to VPN

When I’m connected to a VPN I can’t browse Facebook. It keeps popping up the “Not Logged In - Please log in to see this page” message.

As soon as I close the popup it immediately pops up again. The page also only has a few pictures on it then the rest of the site is blank.

If I’m not connected to a VPN I can browse FB without issue.

Instagram and Mastodon also refuse to load when using VPN.

What can I do about this besides repeatedly disconnecting/connecting VPN locations and hoping it’ll work?

Edit: Switching to different VPN locations worked. I guess that’s the only thing to do.

Have you spoke to Robert ?

There is a setting that disables social media. I would make sure you don’t have that checked by accident.

Then it’s Facebook blocking it from their end .
Just tried it. Facebook doesn’t work for me either when Robert is turned off completely.

I only have Malware and Crypto blocking enabled

I only have Malware and Crypto blocking enabled.

Yea I had to try different VPN locations until I found one that worked

So unblock them and see if the issue goes away.

Great. So you’ve solved your own issue :winking_face_with_tongue:

No it didn’t. Nobody else has problems with Facebook?

Wasn’t the solution I was looking for but yea heh

the same crap is happening to me…Ive been using windscribe pro for many years but it is interfearing with more sites all the time. Time to flush it I guess. Any good VPN’s out there that actually work properly?

Have you changed your DNS? Try that…

I found a VPN location that worked. I’ll try the DNS tho thx

Chrome was already configured to use custom DNS 9.9.9.9. Then I read Windscribe recommends not using a custom one https://windscribe.com/features/flexible-dns so I removed the custom DNS and set it to use the service provider’s DNS which I hope is Windscribe’s. Nothing changed.

The strange thing is I found some sites work fine but some don’t.
