I want the entire Wi-Fi in my house protected via VPN and was wondering if it’s possible to add it to the entire Wi-Fi network versus individual devices? Has anyone done it?
You would need to use your own router that is capable of connecting to a VPN in order to do that, the Verizon Gateway won’t do that natively. You can put in Bridge Mode which will disable all routing and wireless functionality of it and let you handle all that one your own.
The digitl secure app might have a way not sure
Linux time. Site to site VPN with strong swan. Mmmmm I love it
Should be a theoretical what to do it.
Login to e router itself through the IP address, and probably has a VPN setting.
I have a MiFi 2100 jetpack, and it only takes certain VPN providers, whom I have yet to get to work right.
What do you intend to protect yourself against by connecting through a VPN?
The 5G home internet gateway doesn’t offer bridge mode. Called Verizon 2 weeks ago about it.
What if I want to host my own email? My own media server? My own anything?
Because people STILL don’t have native IPv6 addresses, often the only recourse is a reverse VPN. Or paying gobs of money for another company to manage it for you, for often a subpar service to what you could do yourself.
Mine is currently in bridge mode. When you first login to the admin interface there is a button in the middle that lets you enable it.
If your trying to protect from bad guys, the VPN probability isn’t all that useful.
If your trying to hide your piracy activity, VPNs can be a good choice.
Most VPNs don’t provide static, consistent, IP addressing and useful inbound firewall configurability to support that use case — and if it did, OP wouldn’t be asking these questions in this sub.
Interesting. Can you link a picture?
I know that, it’s the entire problem. No matter where you go, they have no interest in being the only company actually committed to ending IPv4 address shortages.

I’d have to reset my gateway to do that since it doesn’t have an assigned IP anymore. Are you talking about the window mount unit or the smaller table-sitting one? I have the window unit.
I don’t disagree but I’m not sure what this has to do with OP’s initial question.
Mine is the small white cube.
It’s tied in to the issue of ISP’s (and the mobile carriers are very interested in supplanting the traditional guys) requiring their own routers that are unconfigurable to be allowed to do such things as have native IPv6 or in this case… A VPN that could offer a solution to that problem.
It’s part and parcel in my view.
Wouldn’t it be easier to just turn the white cube’s wifi off, and connect the new router to it via the ethernet cable?
That’s what I’m doing now.
