Me and my gf are currently in Asia and we cant access Disney+ from here unfortunately because it’s not supported in the country we currently are in. Is it possible to maybe install a free VPN app with which I can change the location so I can access the Disney+ or Netflix library of a specific country?
Even if you have to pay, VPN’s are really cheap.
Proton VPN has a free tier and it’s on the app store, I think you can connect to USA servers.
I use Private Internet Access on my Shield and it works in Mexico at least
Yes.
I give nVidia NO info about myself. And Expr VPN works fine.
As long as you don’t need Play Store, you’ll be fine.
So, just sideload stuff.
Is it even legal to use a VPN there?
You can try to get orbot on the shield tv
Proton free assigns you a random server/country. I use it in China and it usually sends my to Japan, Netherlands, Romania or Netherlands. So if you want to choose USA you’ll have to pay.
So I just sign up for proton VPN which is free and download the app for it on my Shield TV?
I dont think its forbidden to use a VPN in Vietnam, its just that Disney+ does not works in Vietnam .
That’s way to slow for streaming and overkill for security.
Oh wow, thats how easy it is? I dont need to pay for a subscription? And there is a Proton VPN app available on the Shield Google App Store? Can I also set the location to a specific country?
I’m not sure because I have premium, but I was told it won’t let you choose on the free tier.
Thats annoying, what country does it choose then by default in the free tier?
Test it out. I don’t know. Like I said, I pay for it.
