Can astrill VPN unblock Zoom in China?

I have been enrolled in an American university this year. I am currently in Shanghai.

Tomorrow morning I need to use my VPN to unblock Zoom to attend a meeting. I do not know if Astrill has any protocols that can unblock Zoom.

By the way, I also use Veee+ and QuickQ in China. Do these two work for Zoom?

Zoom is not blocked as far as I know …

I recommend using something with the shadowsocks or trojan protocol. I use creamvpn.cloud’s trojan protocol and it works quite well in shanghai, you can set it up on clash and it’s also cheaper than astrill

Guys, I have tested Astrill. It works fine to unblock Zoom in China!

Also, Veee+ with a global mode is great too.

My regular Beijing student of 5 years tried to enter our regular ZOOM class today but was in Tianjin City for the weekend. I sent them 3 to 4 links and it didn’t work. Dad didn’t want to use VOOV as he said it’s not as good as ZOOM.

First Zoom is not blocked as someone pointed out that in here.
I have both Astrill and LetsVPN, and the latter is far much better.

Both my Beijing students can no longer enter Zoom meetings as of a week ago. Zoom has worked for them since 2021 with few issues.now I’m using VOOV now but it seems I can’t share part of my screen so only option is to share my entire monitor screen. If I try to share partial screen I’m not able to use annotate function. Very frustrating. Any tips From VOOV would be much appreciated.

Yeah. For my summer program in 2021, my professor also used VOOV instead of Zoom, as its connection is way better.

I think the problem is not of blocked or not blocked. It’s just fluency.

Last summer, when I attended a summer program on Zoom, without turning on my Lets VPN the entire streaming won’t just work.

I got cut off from the meeting several times because of this.

Hi, do you know if you can still access Zoom in China (with or without VPN?) I am hearing reports of people not being able to access it in China

I’m personally not using zoom but I known people who do and they told me it’s not blocked… Skype isn’t blocked either… Using Zoom in China - The Helpful Panda

I was thinking about this problem too, recently I managed to install it on a router using the steps below:

  1. Buy a GL-inet router, it’s available on most Chinese shopping websites like taobao
  2. Download luci-app-openclash and install it on the router via the ssh interface using opkg (either use wget to download the binary right on the router or use scp to transfer it from the computer
  3. Install luci-compat with opkg
  4. Go to the router admin, click advanced settings, and you will find clash under services

Yeah.

Since Zoom left mainland in 2020 summer, everything went down.
