Can access Remote Desktop in VPN, but not internal Websites after moving apartments

I’m working remotely from Japan for a company in Germany, using a VPN connection. So far everything worked fine, but after I moved apartments on the weekend a can’t access websites inside the VPN from my host computer anymore. I can ping them, but they won’t open in the browser. When using my mobile data, it still works. So there has to be a problem with my new internet connection. Remote Desktop is still working without any problems at all.

There is a wall-embedded router and I also tried connecting my own router that worked fine in the previous apartment with all the same settings.

Neither me nor the admins at my company have any clue so far why this is happening. So I was hoping I might find some useful hints here.

By any chance is your new private network also the same network as the VPNs? Ran into where corp uses a typical private IP range for their VPN and your new home network also uses that same range.

Yeah, this is the usual cause of this, you are actually pinging something on the local network not on the other end of the VPN.

I was thinking the same for a while because they both start with 10.x.x.x, but they differ afterwards.
