What are the best browsers for this specific purpose?
best to do more research and find yourself a more suitable, proper and trusted vpn rather than use built in ones. mullvad is p good and cheap. free vpns generally arent great.

If you’re trying to get privacy, which you seem to be if you want you use tor, you shouldn’t use it through brave. The point of tor is that everyone using it looks the same, and if you use anything but the official browser you’ll stick out like a sore thumb.
