Blacklist for web proxies?

Is there a blacklist to block webproxies like hidemyass?

DoH/VPN/TOR/Proxy Bypass blocklist:

Prevent methods to bypass your DNS, blocks encrypted DNS, VPN, TOR, Proxies.
To ensure the bootstrap is your DNS server you must redirect or block standard DNS outbound (TCP/UDP 53) and block all DNS over TLS (TCP 853) outbound.

But, there are always ways to bypass such protection, depending on how smart they are.

What are you trying to accomplish exactly? What are your concerns and goals?

This one is specifically for porn:

Yeah, there are definitely blacklists out there that people use to block web proxies like hidemyass. It’s a constant game of cat and mouse though, as new proxies keep popping up all the time.

I’ve actually used Smart Proxy for a while now and found it pretty solid. It’s got this cool site unblocker feature that’s saved my hide a couple of times when I needed to get around some annoying restrictions.

sorry to necropost but how would i accomplish the blocking the port for DNS outbound(tcp/udp 53) only on a synology router? Also wont that effect my DNS queries?

I’m using opendns to block porn content as I have small kids I’d rather not expose to hardcore sex.
A friend now showed the oldest how to bypass dns-based filters with web proxy.
I’m looking for a blacklist of web proxies.

Yes but… I guess these will be still accessible via web proxy

Oh this will be a fun war, you’ll need more than PiHole, because most of the proxies are IPs so no DNS will be involved. You’ll want to researching something like SquidGuard and a subscription service to a blacklist. I used to use that long ago to block similar things when we had a Dialup ISP.

I don’t know your exact situation but I’m still pretty young and my parents tried to limit my internet access some years ago when I was about 12.

Kids get very creative when it comes to circumventing such filters.

What’s preventing them from just changing their DNS to 1.1.1.1?
The next things they will try or already tried are VPNs or Tor. Maybe they will find torrents or something similar.
If you lock their systems to prevent them from installing any software they might start using USB-Sticks with another OS if they got a PC. Maybe they find an old phone they can use to access the internet. They could just go to a friend or get DVDs at school (or USB-Sticks or SDCards).

Back in 2015 I did tutorials for my classmates to circumvent any possible restrictions their parents could have put on their devices. It’s only a matter of time till your children will find a way to sneak around your restrictions. My parents tried everything to stop me from using the internet for more than one hour a day. For over a year I used a raspberry pi and a little touchscreen I hid in my mattress to watch YouTube-Videos at night while using the neighbours WiFi. The only positive effect of it was that it started my curiosity for technology and it may be one reason why I’m currently studying CS.

Trying to find new ways to prevent them from accessing these websites will give them a reason to try even harder.

The best thing you can do is talk with them about how you use the internet and what kind of content they should avoid. This not only applies to pornography, but also most social media platforms.

Also dealing with this now, did you ever find a good updated list or alternative?

To my understanding if you change your dns settings to go directly through your pihole it won’t go through how ever if they use a vpn the redirects to a different dns then yea it can still be accessed

I love the story and I am absolutely with you. I will talk to my son about it. I agree he’ll always try to circumvent restrictions, and tbh I am very happy that he tries to
My concerns are more with the smaller son, who is not ready for these contents and he does need some higher barrier
