Hey all! What is the best VPN (free preferred, but I’ll pay for a good one) for a Chromebook? I’m on a campus and torrenting is frowned upon.
I have used “private Internet access” (p.i.a.) on my chrome book in the past
The cost of PIA is worth it. I use it at cafes and on other free wireless networks.
NordVPN works for me.
With so little storage available on the chromebook, might it be safer to just get a seedbox? They’re not that expensive.

+1 for PIA. It’s a pain to set up but once you have it up and running g it’s flawless.
I understand this wasn’t asked but, dies your phone offer tethering? You can secure that and no real reason to worry about much since it’s your phone’s connection. Just a little fyi

This makes setting up PIA with .ovpn instead of l2tp very easy.

im super late, but new chrome owner and going through old threads… what exactly makes it so difficult to set up? I think im going with PIA however I am a noob and will probably have difficulty getting it running

Any luck resolving this? If you setup the VPN on your Chromebook, does it affect programs such as JSTorrent?
