As the title says no matter if i use my router settings or if i use the app. Equally no matter which server i use.
I have been a customer of ExpressVPN for about 5 years maybe more and for the last 6 months or so the service has got progressively worse.
Before that i used my TP Link router with their settings to connect through my LG smart TV without problem but now it constantly disconnects and now results in it not working at all with the iplayer.
Hence, i have turned off automatic billing as i will find another provider who will provide the service i pay for.
I have zero desire to spend more time on their chat support.
They are aware but seem not to be able to fix it at the moment although they say engineers are working on it. I have taken out a Surfshark subscription which I can cancel before 30 days if this situation persists. Surfshark is connecting to iPlayer fine at the moment. EVPN bunged me another couple of weeks extension on my subscription but I won’t be needing it unless they fix iPlayer in the next 25 days.

I second @rafikiphoto’s comment. ExpreessVPN is aware and sent an update with suggestions on how to get around the problem in the meantime. I was surprised to see their response, as there must be enough people connecting to the UK. I previously reached out about Australia blocking anyone from the US and they did nothing about it.
In the meantime I got an additional subscription to NordVPN which seems to be much better at connecting with BBC and BBC iplayer. It even has more servers to connect to.
Disappointed to hear that the support is not as helpful as previously.
I have been unable to view bbc iPlayer via my iPad. Have tried all uk and Ireland options on the app.
It is still working on my Apple TV.
I must say that I have been having issues with my Apple TV and USA Netflix feed not working. ExpressVPN support was great, though did not resolve issue, we worked through to determine it was something with the Apple TV. As I can access the USA feed via other devices. And my non USA Netflix doesn’t work on the Apple TV either if I disable the DNS.
I have uninstalled the Netflix app to see if that fixes it. Still get a Netflix 113 error code. Other apps like Hulu hbo Max etc working

good to know its not me. havent used in months and of course wanted to watch the live bbc proms … i used to use nord but dropped them. or surfshark.
i was surprised to see so few available locations in the uK the last time i used it (months ago) there were quite a few).
ill contact support to see if i can get that sub extension. and what they have to say as well as trying something else.

i contacted EVPN support … there is a workaround but only for live tv… i wanted to watch the live proms replay from today. oh well i’ll try one of the others
they are aware and are working on it.
I just bought Express VPN specifically to watch BBC as it was highly recommended.
Been trying on different browsers, PC’s and London access points. Very occasionally something works. Cleared cache, cleared cookies. No help.

They tell me they are working on a permanent solution but had no timescale. Probably go for a refund.
It’s been broken for months. Usually, ExpressVPN fixed the issue within a day or two - or a week max - when it knows what the problem is. The fact it has been over three months suggests, to me, that this is a bigger problem than normal.

I just installed the latest EVPN update and it appears to have fixed the iPlayer problem. Try it and confirm, please just in case it’s a fluke.
Off and on today, just not reliable. Cmon Express VPN - you can fix this!
Folks Webley is working now for me on iPhone and iPad via the ExpressVPN app. I checked the rest of the servers (London, Docklands etc) and only Wembley is working
Why can’t BBC iplayer be like Netflix or other subscription streaming services? I pay BBC TV licence fee but hardly use it in UK as that’s not my country of residence. Don’t see why BBC can’t regard licence fee like a subscription to view content anywhere.
Service has been blocked again, even has been blocked by Channel 4 stream app.
Do you know any other reliable vpn?

Their instructions though sadly more useless. however they send updates, which I appreciate. So nord works right now?
